What is JobFit?
JobFit is an online assessment that assists you in making the right career choices!
The JobFit assessment compares your aptitudes, interests, and abilities to other people who are already in an occupation and suggest occupations that are a match for you.

JobFit will also identify your learning style to determine the type of "learning" setting which is best for you - hands-on, repetition, visual, etc. Knowing your learning style will help you capitalize on your strengths, compensate for your weaknesses, and gain success in the workplace.
Career Development Process
JobFit is a career development process that will facilitate lifelong, informed career decisions. It starts you on a path you can follow to make career transitions throughout your life. Doesn't it make sense to invest some time now to assist you in making smart decisions later? The JobFit process:

- Rate what aspects of work are most important to you.

- See jobs that might suit you and pick your favorites.

JobFit - 4 Steps
Yes, JobFit is an on-line assessment for you to learn more about yourself . . . but it's even more. JobFit will also provide you with a means to develop and post a resume and search for jobs. In order to have the best chance of getting a great job, there are four major steps that must be completed:
Registration |

Once signed in, the registration page contains 6 short sections. Fill in or select your responses; you will be asked information about your name, contact information, and other occupation-related information. Employers search the information you provide in Registration. Help employers find you easily - leave no fields unanswered. You will also create a username and password in order to access your account in the future. You will want to re-enter the JobFit site on multiple occasions to complete steps, search jobs, post or update your resume, and manage your account. |

JobFit Survey |
||
The JobFit Survey (assessment) is very important. It highlights your gifts, talents, and natural aspirations. Employers are eager to see the many great qualities you possess. After registering, the system immediately initiates the survey. The survey has 6 sections that must be completed; however, they do not all have to be completed at one time. If unable to complete the survey during one sitting, complete the page you are on and click the Continue button. Then, log out. The next time you sign in, the system remebers where you left off. Be yourself as you answer the questions. Answer every questions honestly and to the best of your ability. |

Resume |
||
| A good resume increases your chances of getting a good job. Employers will desire to view your resume. Resume Central provides two options: upload an existing resume or take advantage of the Resume Builder to create a new, professional resume. In addition, you can view and print your resume at anytime within Resume Central. | ||
Search for Jobs |
||
Use the Search Jobs feature to search for jobs. Be proactive and contact employers who have postings that interest you. Employers will also be looking at your information, survey results, and resume. When you are a good match for one of their positions, they will contact you. |

More on JobFit
- The JobFit survey (assessment) takes one to two hours to complete. You may complete a section, save your work, and then log back into your connection to finish the assessment later.
- You will need a computer with DSL connection. If you don't have DSL, you can check with your local Job Center, Library, or Social Services to see if they can provide you with services.
- You will need to print your results. The report will be approximately 18 pages long.
