Letters of Support
The Southwest Wisconsin
Workforce Development Board provides direct services to employers in
two ways. First many services are provided on a no-cost basis
through the eight job centers located in Southwest Wisconsin and
on-line at our Virtual Job Center
www.jobcenter.org which the Board oversees. What are “Job
Centers?” Job Centers are our version of “one-stop shopping” in the
delivery of employment-related services. Your workforce needs are
our business, and we work to meet those needs through:
No-cost employer services:
- Assistance with posting
your job openings on Wisconsin’s JobNet system
- Resume or application
collection and sorting services
- Information about
current employment trends, current wage levels by industry, and
a variety of employment related topics
- Conference room and
interview space for employment related needs (space is available
on a reserved basis)
- Trained staff to assist
you with worker retention issues, mass recruitment, layoff or
outplacement services, and linkages to business planning
assistance
Additional low-cost
contracted services include:
- In-depth screening of
applications or resumes based on employer criteria
- Initial interviewing
services
- Background checks and
Reference checks and employment verification
- Interview scheduling
- Full-time staffing of
recruitment efforts at your location or ours
- Job Fairs
- Microsoft Office
Testing and Data entry Testing
-
Industrial Skills Testing and Assessment
- Specialized training
programs
- Basic and soft skills
training programs
- Employee contracting
services
- And much, much more.
The workforce and training needs
of your business are our focus. We will work diligently to provide
you with the best customer service possible.
