Welcome and thank you for visiting the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board (SWWDB) website.
SWWDB brings together businesses, elected officials, educators and other partner organizations to build and enhance the workforce needs within the six-county area of Southwest Wisconsin—Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Richland, and Rock counties. SWWDB offers a wide range of programs and resources for both employers and job seekers. Our mission is twofold—to help our residents prepare to enter/re-enter the workforce and to meet the occupational skills needs of local employers. With a focus on economic development, business growth, and workforce training focusing on demand occupations, SWWDB has established successful programs and initiatives that address specific needs of our region.
We have designed this site to be a resource for you—whether you are an employer or a job seeker, a veteran returning home or a young person starting a career, new to our community or a life-long resident. On this site you will find information pertaining to many of the resources and services available through SWWDB, including news and announcements regarding past and upcoming events, a library of publications of interest, data and statistics for the area’s labor market, as well as links to other agencies and programs that may be of benefit to you!
