Iowa County Public Health Officer/Director |
| Iowa County, Wisconsin, located in Dodgeville, has an opening for a Public Health Officer/Director responsible for the overall operation of the Iowa County Health Agency. Under the policy direction of the County Health & Human Services Committee and management direction of the County Administrator, this position has responsibility for a wide variety of public health service programs. |
| Qualifications for this challenging position include either a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Nursing, Public Health, Environmental Health, or related field as meets requirements under Section 251.06 Wisconsin Statutes for a Level II Health Department. This statute specifies “at least three years of experience in a full-time position with a public health agency, including responsibility for a communicable disease prevention and control program.” Preferences may include three years successful experience in a public health supervisory position and a current Wisconsin license to practice as a registered professional nurse, with experience as a practitioner. |
