Re-entry Career Coach

The Wisconsin Pathways Home project seeks to break the cycle of recidivism by linking participants to the workforce system early, while still in the institution, and then immediately upon reentry into the community to help reduce the risk of recidivism, reduce the gaps in service delivery, and increase access to re-entry services.

The Career Coach will provide pre-release and post-release services. Such services include, but are not limited to: Determining eligibility, delivering assessments, developing development plans that identify barriers to employment and re-entry, work readiness preparation, career exploration and planning, and assistance with linking inmates to the resources required to help them transition back to their communities, and providing follow-up services.

A qualified individual must exhibit initiative and sound judgment and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to build relationships within the community and the SWWDB organization and deliver positive outcomes. Prior experience in case management, workforce development and/or adult education is valuable; however, a solid commitment to customer service delivered in a compassionate, collaborative, thorough, and objective manner is key. Demonstrated compute recordkeeping skills are important. SWWDB will mentor and train the right candidate who understands SWWDB’s mission, vision, and corporate values. This position requires travel; a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle is required. The selected candidate will need to meet Department of Corrections’ institutional entry requirements, including security clearances and background checks.

The pay range is between $20.00 and $23.00 based upon experience. SWWDB provides a robust benefit package for all full-time employees (Dean Health plan and Delta dental insurance for self and family, 401(k), life insurance, 10 paid holidays, vacation and sick leave benefits, etc.). SWWDB will consider hiring two part-time employees for this position. This is a hybrid position, and the Pathway Home team follows a hybrid schedule, working in-office and remote, depending on the needs of our participants.

For consideration for this position, please submit a resume, salary expectations, and cover letter to: swwdb.jobs@swwdb.org. This posting will remain open until it is filled.

Please introduce yourself in your cover letter and briefly summarize your experience and qualifications. Any questions regarding the position can be directed to Rhonda Suda at (608) 314-3300 Ext. 305 or r.suda@swwdb.org.
